I have been enjoying the Australia Kava shop instant green of late.
I find it extremely convenient to mix and somewhat unique in its effects.
I find it leans on the heady side and is beautifully refreshing after a long days work.
I believe it is a selected mix of strains and it is spot on!
No hangover the next day (maybe an afterglow , if I’m lucky)
For me, and this reason , its 1000 times better than alcohol.

I have enjoyed it mixed with cola, which I found complements the herbal flavours of the Kava.
I have also mixed a tablespoon in to a bigger mix of Waka ( also from Australia Kava Shop) for my wife and myself ,which yielded a very potent brew indeed.
My wife had tried different Kava’s previously without much effect. She was pleasantly surprised this time.

I love the fact that when the need to relax comes upon me, it only takes about 10 seconds to prepare.
It makes for a great travelling companion (even on a plane) and for occasions such as fishing on a riverbank.
Give a really nice buzz, helps me to sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start the day (no alcohol-type hangovers!.

I had switched to only drinking instant kava because I didn’t like dealing with the hassle of preparing the powdered kavas.
I love the instant but was always curious about trying the different varieties from different countries etc. for different occasions so I thought I'd just get a straining bag and give it a go.

So much easier and cleaner than previous methods I'd used (normally a tea towel),
quick to prepare and stronger than I expected. Also it feels a bit more authentic preparing it the more traditional way!

A must have for when you have a little bit more time on your hands want to make a traditional brew

When I first tried this Natural Kava, I have to admit I assumed it would be some weak kava blend that was just thrown together from cheap kava sources.
Boy was I wrong... they've taken a bunch of absolute premium kava and engineered a POWERFUL blend that's just a smashing upper head high.
The kavalactins, the feel good compound, must be off the scales on this blend. It's just an absolute bliss and inner peace feeling. So much so that it's become my favourite kava here.
The flavour is decent too, although a bit variable between grass and old leather. The potency is always the same though.
I really do highly recommend this stuff, and Cam's done an awesome job sourcing such a lovely kava.

Thought i'd share with you a little straining secret too, for those of you using a blender and straining it into a bowl.
You pour the kava into the corner of the bag, squeeze from the top, then squeeze the middle into an hour-glass shape, and intermittently squeeze the bottom and top of the hour-glass.
Makes straining the bag a whole lot easier, and you can squeeze every drop out.

Love the Vanuatu Kava and the Borogu variety is my favourite. Its easy to drink, like other Vanuatu varieties I've tried it has a peppery creamy taste and not bitter like the Fijian kava. It makes a good potent brew with heavy heady effects and pleasant dreams. Been drinking Kava as an alternative to alcohol for just over 6 months now, its helped me keep away from the booze and I dont miss it (and lost some weight which is a win win). Would recommend Vanuatu variety to anyone and Borogu is a great one to start on. Mixed my NYE batch to see in the new year happy and chilled and without the hangover.
