What Australians Back Australia Kava Shop - We Know Our Roots!

OK the above video was shot when we first started… and Cam had come out of the Covid drinking and eating comp with a gold medal!

Regardless here are the facts:

We lived in Vanuatu  and worked in the kava industry for 15 years. Our kava network of quality suppliers of noble kava covers the Pacific.

If any other Australian vendor out there knows more about kava or has our experience, we’d love to meet them!

In short, as the motto says “We Know Our Roots!”

Our Commitment to Quality and Compliance

Kava Regulations and Safety

All our products are imported under the Phase 2 Kava Trial framework. This ensures:

  • Strict Adherence: All imports comply with the Phase 2 Trial framework

  • Purity Assurance: No Tudei or dangerous above-ground plant material.

  • Safety Measures: Ensuring all products are free from high microbial content.

When you buy kava from our team, you’re getting a safe and quality product every time.

Independent Kava Analysis

We go beyond the Phase 2 Trial import requirements.

We have our products independently tested for strength and purity. This means when you buy kava from us you KNOW it’s safe and strong!

Not many competitors offer this assurance. This means you know you are getting:

  • Noble Varieties only. Chemotype testing shows that our products do not have above ground plant material or tudei.

  • High Potency. There is a reason our competitors won’t put independent analysis of their products up. We are proud to show the different strengths of our range!

Still Not Sure About Kava - Lets cover Kava 101 and Some FAQS

Kava and Shipping FAQS

Kava doesn’t make you trip out or lose control – it’s more of a calm, relaxed buzz. You’ll feel your body unwind, your mood lift, and your head stay clear. Most people describe it as a smooth, easy sense of calm – and best of all, no hangover the next day.

It’s definitely earthy – because it comes straight from the ground. Kava’s not about flavour; it’s about how good it makes you feel. Most people get used to the taste pretty quickly once they start feeling the calm kick in.

If you’d like to make it smoother, we’ve got a bunch of kava recipes and tips on how to make it taste better HERE

Absolutely.
Kava goes well with things like pineapple juice, coconut water, or sugar-free soda if you find the earthy flavour a bit strong. Mix it however you like — just don’t mix it with alcohol.

It takes the edge off without making you sloppy. You’ll feel calm, relaxed, and social – kind of like a few drinks in, but without the foggy head or bad decisions.

Yes – 100%.
Since the Australian Phase 2 Kava Trial began in 2022, kava can be legally imported and sold under a permit system. Once it passes quarantine and import checks, it’s approved as a food product.

So in short – yep, it’s as legal as a meat pie. 🥧
We only sell Certified Noble Kava, fully approved for import and sale. No hassles with customs or anyone else.

We use Australia Post Parcel and Express.

Parcel normally takes 5-7 working days. Express takes 1-2 working days.

Once you have placed your order, it will be shipped out same day if placed prior to 1pm, if not the following working day.

You will receive an order confirmation from us and a follow up tracking email within 1 working day.

We ship kava to all of Australia except for the Northern Territory.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not ship overseas.

Yes — absolutely safe when it’s prepared the traditional way, using water (the only legal method in Australia).

That liver scare from the ’90s? It turned out to be caused by dodgy chemical extracts — not real kava.

The genuine stuff has been used safely for generations in places like Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu, where it’s a normal part of daily life. If there were any long-term issues, they’d know by now.

Still unsure? Check out Dr Andrew Weil’s take on it HERE.

Short answer: play it safe.

Kava isn’t alcohol, but it can still slow your reaction time and mellow your focus, even if you feel clear-headed. Studies show it can subtly affect coordination and decision-making – so it’s best to give it time before getting behind the wheel.

In some states, if you were in an accident or stopped and admitted to drinking kava, it could lead to a DUI charge depending on the situation.

Right now, there’s no roadside test for kava, but the safest move is simple: enjoy it at home and avoid driving for an hour after a few shells  until you’re back to full alertness.
