I bought this because i am having trouble getting a good nights sleep lately and i had heard that Kava will help. First nights use was terrific. I actually got a full 8 hours sleep in. Was so impressed with it that i bought some more so i dont run out.
I'm 70, & was looking for a safe & effective way to relax in the evenings.
Alcohol is not an option.
My son suggested Fiji Harmony.
I now have a couple of relaxing drinks in the evening & very happy with the pleasant relaxation. 🙂
A lovely kava thats full of kavalactones. Actually drinkable by kava standards! Couldn't recommend highly enough, not worth skimping and getting a non noble variety always been happy with Australia Kava. Maca!
As I've explored kava as an alternative to alcohol, I've found that the biggest problem is how long it takes to prepare! At first, I prepared it the traditional way, manually kneading the kava in a strainer bag for 10 to 15 minutes. It was effective, but boring. Then, I started putting it in the blender for a few minutes instead. That worked really well, but it was noisy, and then I had a blender to clean up afterward! Not exactly convenient.
The Aluball shaker perhaps doesn't create the absolute strongest brew you could get, but given its sheer convenience, it's now my go-to preparation method. Second washes are a breeze, too, since once you finish drinking the first wash, your kava is still there in the ball ready to go.
THAT'S the convenient evening drink experience I'm looking for! So happy to finally get my hands on one of these shakers.
Great to make stronger brews! One Aluball just wasn't cutting it. Easy to clean and store too. Definitely recommend after a long day!

I've been shopping at Australia Kava Shop for a while now (a year or two I think). I used it to get some distance then give up alcohol. Now I just do it for fun. Really is best in moderation like anything of this nature. My pick for the best product is the instant kava. Really such a gentle way to do it.

It was certainly a nice melo beverage. I managed to get a second cup out of each 50 gram serve.
I usually make kava using the liquidiser method and then strain. A kava straining bag is essential. And the Australian kava shop straining bag is a good product which lasts. I've used my last one for months.
This kava brewed up a darker brown colour and was effective from the moment it numbed my mouth. Good stuff

Australia Kava Shop’s Instant Kava solves the biggest problem with kava – the preparation time! When you buy instant kava, it’s as simple as putting a half teaspoon in a shaker or in your glass of water, stir for 10 seconds and drink!
Our Instant kava is made using an aqueous extract process, not yucky alcohol, or chemical extraction. It is soluble in water, with only the same effort as stirring a coffee required!
Unlike other supposed instant kava, our instant kava is made from the green kava juice of Borogu and Palarusal kava plants from Santo Island. Every day, farmers bring fresh kava in from the islands. It is then cleaned and juiced under strict HACCP conditions. The juice is then dried out in evaporators to form a powder. It is then milled into a soluble powder ready to drink!
