Yes – Absolutely safe when prepared in an aqueous method – the only legal way to do it in Australia. That liver scare from the ’90s? Turns out it was dodgy extracts, not proper kava.

Kava’s not booze – but it does mellow you out and subtly slows your brain’s processing.

There’s solid evidence it can impair your ability to sequence events and react, even though you might feel fine.

In some states this might cause you to be charged with DUI if you are to admit to drinking kava and have an issue.

Kava is not currently able to be tested for or gauged with drug or alcohol testing.
