Waka Kava and Instant Combo Starter Kit with Alu Ball FAQs
The Instant Kava is the quick and easy option. It is made from dehydrated fresh green kava juice, so you can stir it directly into water or another drink without kneading or straining. Waka Premium is a traditional Fiji kava made from lateral roots, giving it a fuller-bodied character and a more calming evening wind-down. Instant is ideal when convenience matters; Waka is better when you want to slow down and settle in.
No. The Alu Kava Ball is only needed for preparing the traditional Waka Premium powder. Add the Instant Kava directly to water, juice or another drink and stir until mixed. For the Waka, place the powder inside the Alu Kava Ball and shake it with water in a secure shaker bottle, or prepare it using the included straining bag.
They give you two different ways to prepare your Waka Premium. The Alu Kava Ball is the faster, lower-mess option when you want to prepare kava in a shaker bottle. The 225-micron straining bag is designed for classic hand-kneaded preparation and gives you greater control when preparing a larger or more traditional batch. You can choose whichever method suits the time and setting.
The kit includes the Alu Kava Ball brewing ball, but it does not include a shaker bottle. The ball fits inside most robust protein-style shaker bottles. Make sure the bottle has enough room for the Alu Kava Ball to move freely and that the lid seals securely before shaking. No additional equipment is required when preparing the Instant Kava.
