Waka kava is prepared from lateral roots of the kava plants from the islands of Fiji. It is renowned for its relaxing heavy body that will see you dreaming of Fiji! The Waka Premium range has a unique strong flavour and aroma profile. It’s also known for its high concentration of kavalactones, which are responsible for its relaxing effects.

For mixing ratios with the Aluball Kava Shaker we recommend the following:

Fiji Style

Use one level tablespoon of Waka Premium into the Aluball Kava Shaker with 1 litres of water.

Vanuatu Style

Use two level tablespoons of Waka Premium into the Aluball Kava Shaker with 200-300 ml of water.

Australia Kava Shop’s Alu Ball Kava Shaker

Alu Ball kava shaker is the smallest and most portable kava ball shaker on the market. It has a great design, it’s easy to use and clean.

The shaker itself is made from food grade plastic which means that it’s safe to use around food and drink. The powder inside of it is also made from kava root, which means that there are no other chemicals or additives in your drink when you use this product.

The top of the product screws off easily so that you can fill it with your favourite Waka Kava powder or blend. You can then screw it back on and shake the product for about one minute before drinking your beverage!

Great to make a stronger brew when needed!

Great to make stronger brews! One Aluball just wasn't cutting it. Easy to clean and store too. Definitely recommend after a long day!

Aluball Kava Shaker

A lot easier to mix especially when you have arthritis. Just have to get used to the mix recipe and whether to make 1 shell or 3 in 1 go.

Aluball Brewing Ball

Very handy and usefull brewing ball. What a great idea.

So quick and easy!

As I've explored kava as an alternative to alcohol, I've found that the biggest problem is how long it takes to prepare! At first, I prepared it the traditional way, manually kneading the kava in a strainer bag for 10 to 15 minutes. It was effective, but boring. Then, I started putting it in the blender for a few minutes instead. That worked really well, but it was noisy, and then I had a blender to clean up afterward! Not exactly convenient.

The Aluball shaker perhaps doesn't create the absolute strongest brew you could get, but given its sheer convenience, it's now my go-to preparation method. Second washes are a breeze, too, since once you finish drinking the first wash, your kava is still there in the ball ready to go.

THAT'S the convenient evening drink experience I'm looking for! So happy to finally get my hands on one of these shakers.

Aluball

As a newcomer to kava, I wasn't too keen on the brewing process. The Aluball seemed a quick and easy option and the reviews were great. I can confirm that it works with non-Aluball shakers and is easy to use. Just fill it up halfway and shake vigorously for two minutes.
